This app is simple in both its design and use; and works exactly how one would expect. After pairing it with your Jawbone UP account, giving it access to Health, and conducting the one-time historical data sync, Health becomes and remains in tune with the UP app. Many thanks to the developer for creating a free and elegant solution to a problem a team of professional software engineers and company executives have created, but not solved.
It good that this app sync the data to Apple health because my up app wont do it anymore. Hopefully the creators of this sync app will add more syncing functions soon like importing resting caloriy
Jawbone cant even do what this app does! Ive been on phone support with Jawbone with no solution. My steps now show up to the Apple Health dashboard.
Completely wiped all my data. Do not use!
Great app! Keeps me motivated! Syncs great with Jawbone!
It actually does sync your Jawbone UP app data however it seems to not overwrite the iPhone 6motion data so it ends up double counting my steps in the health app. It also does not sync in the background, you have to initiate the sync manually within the app each time. It also does not have a privacy policy.
The app finally gets my steps into Apple health THANK YOU!!! I had to contact the customer service after an update bc it stopped syncing my steps, quick email response & fixed the app. Great customer service! Thanks!!
After only having my Up for a few weeks, the step data no longer was being imported into the Health app. This has solved the problem, and added the ability to import calories and distance as well. I’ve had this app since the beginning. The developer constantly updates based on user suggestions, and is quick to respond to feedback and support. This is a must-have for any Jawbone Up user. A++++ app and support!
Now I’m syncing. Health app so nice.
Followed all directions and the app still doubling step count when synced to health kit. Im giving up and hopefully Apple will come out with an update to allow users to disable the iPhone pedometer.
The application sync well but it duplicates the sleeping data!!
I did everything it said to do, but my step data is still WAY off. The only thing I have writing data to the health app is this app. My steps are still messed up. I dont have the UP24 reading from any source other than my band. Im so frustrated. This was a waste of money.
Doesnt seem to do anything. Emailed customer support and no response, save your money and dont get this.
I see no point in this app. While it works just ok it really doesnt do much. Waste of $3
8.2 fixes steps!! Great new instructions!! Everything works PERFECTLY now. Dietary Calories yay!!
Maybe a video explains how this works would be better? (It would for me) If it worked I would say great……..kinda pricy for what you get IMHO. .99 cents?
Ive been a loyal Jawbone UP owner since the beginning and currently I have had the UP24 band for almost a year. This band and there has been no need for support to replace it (yet) has been great but their software team needs a major overall! This Health Sync for Jawbone UP App (unlike what Jawbone has done) allows all your data to seamlessly move right in to the iHealth App and allows so much more data than Jawbone/Up has ever done. I know they (Jawbone) are aware of it but at least this App Developer did something about it and hes constantly been listening to my feedback and making adjustments as neccesary so you know he listens and does something about it. Come on Jawbone; - hire this guy to run your software developement team! Its a MUST HAVE APP if you like tracking all your data and the price is right.
The app started out working well, and now it crashes and freezes up. I am not sure what happened, but something is not right somewhere.
This app does a great job of consistently writing to Apple Health, it can be run in the background to periodically auto-sync or you can explicitly click the Sync button within the app to flush your full band history to the Health app. Unfortunately theres a loss of granularity with the sleep data - whereas the native Jawbone sync will tell the Health app that you were awake 4 times at night for 30 minutes each time, this app records the duration between first falling asleep and last waking, which can significantly over-inflate sleep time if like me youre a bad sleeper. So the dilemma is whether to stick with the native Jawbone sync and have accurate but patchy data in Apple Health, or use this 3rd party sync app and have consistent but inaccurate data. For me its all about accuracy and given that I can view full, accurate history in the UP app, this sync app is worthless to me.
