I bought this app after getting a tracker because I was having issues getting data sent to the health app. After some Googling I kept seeing people talk about how this app solves that issue. I jump on the bandwagon and even bought the $5 bundle. Immediately I knew this wasnt the fix.
I tested multiple times taking between 20 to 75 steps using a manual counter as I took a step. Every time it would sync several hundred steps I didnt take. Id delete it and try it again and over and over this happened. I tried just letting it go for awhile and not only did it never log steps correctly it never sync in the background a "few" times a day with that selector on like it claimed too. Every time I had to hit manual sync and sure enough it would add hundreds of steps for no apparent reasons.
After my own attempt to correct with multiple uninstalls/reinstalls re-syncs and other things I emailed the developer for help just like it says to do when you click help, developer never responds. I go to developers website which just forwards to a Facebook page. Posted a quick blunt message of the problem and got a 2 word response "Fix coming" to which I replied "Estimated time" with no response. Tonight that fix came and guess what? Didnt fix it, in fact it made it worse. Now it records over a thousand at a time and after installing it at 14:00 the app has yet to sync in the background at as if 23:30. Im not sure what the developers definitions of "A few times a day" but apparent that means for no less that nearly 10 hours from the time of this review.
Hopefully this gets fixed but frankly after the things Ive read, the time Ive spent with support, fooling with this app, writing this review, etc the only thing Jawbone is worthy of is a return which is what they are going to get at this point.
